Finally made it to this micro-pub on Derby Road. Quite busy on a Saturday evening. Good welcome by the landlord. Good choice of ales including 3 session pale ales. Proper goose neck hand pulls. Lovely beer. Cosy but smart, city centre pub.

Six Barrels, Mansfield Road
So this is the 2nd Six Barrels in Nottingham having taken over the Irish pub, Keogh's which was once the Mansfield Arms. Still going strong and a new chapter for the place. Smart, good ale and dog friendly. Was fairly quiet midweek.

Neon Rapter
Well, this is a first. My wife introducing me to a pub / micro brewery. The Neon Rapter is just behind the Fox and Grapes (Pretty Windows!) in Sneinton Market. Hard to find unless you know it's there - well that's my excuse. Great craft beer rather than real ale. Very friendly. Steady flow of regulars. Neon lighting, obviously, in a rustic, warehouse setting. Great "deconstructed" feel.

Royal Oak, East Bridgford
A lovely village pub, popular with locals on a weekend. Castle Rock beer - the Harvest Pale was good.

Cooper’s Brook
Greene King’s revamp of the Old Spot includes a renaming. The former brewery tap of the now closed Home Brewery is a smart diners’ pub next to a Premier Inn.
Usual Greene King beers on tap plus local ale from Nottingham Brewery.

Overdraught
Totally Brewed’s tap this is a smart and contemporary pub in a former bank on Canning Circus. Jazz music playing. With trendy lamps and artwork, this is more the sort of place you’d expect in the city centre. A quality addition to the area.
