The Boulevard is an historic, imposing corner pub in Radford, built to serve the construction workers who built the boulevards in this area. This pub has been closed down several times in recent history with a hand car wash operating from its car park. So when it re-opened I had to check it out.
Refurbished to a reasonable standard. Smart manager. No real ale and almost empty. They are hardly ever busy apparently. Some effort being made but you can see this becoming flats like the nearby Gregory in the future. Owners are based in Stoke and also own the Moog.
Update Nov 2013: Now appears to be closed although not boarded up or For Sale yet. Signs of it turning into a "Bites" cafe the same as the Star on North Gate.
