Why did it take me so long to visit this pub? Lived near it all my life. Ruled it out as a soul-less estate pub. Not true! Huge pub with loads of character. Oak panelled walls. Fireplaces in the snugs. You can feel the history. Well maintained. Made welcome and great real ale. Also a sun trap of a beer garden. Will come again!
